Winner,Labels, and "Smizing"



Hello ladies,

I know that many have been anticipating this blogpost for many days now. I have so much to share this week which I will probably post in 2 different blog entries. How do I begin? Lets just say this previous week was by far the craziest/busiest week in the whole eighteen years of my life. I had bridesmaid dresses to be completed by Wednesday. Ladies conference stuff to make by Thursday. Ladies conference to go to til Friday. Got home at 4 in the morning, finished 3 dresses. Woke up and did the Spring Collection shoot + 98230928340 other minor details I didn’t add. Yes I slept til 12 today! But so many GREAT things were accomplished in those 5 days. I met a lot of my wonderful fans at ladies conference. Made many many memories at the photo shoot and Great pictures also!

So I didn’t have a chance to count all 293498 comments and figure out the winner of “Grand Entrance” last Thursday when the contest ended. So I told you ladies I would in this blogpost.. So the winner of the “Grand Entrance” skirt is…..

I received a wonderful package in the mail this week from Australia. My custom clothing labels with the Dainty Jewell’s logo on them!!! J I almost did the happy dance when I saw them! Now there will be a Dainty Jewell’s label in the inside of each design!

So as you all know, Saturday was the Spring Collection photo shoot. It was below freezing when we got out there. So my poor models wanted to kill me standing out in the cold wind. But that’s okay, they were tough and got through all the fake smiles and “smizing” It was a blast and I’m so thankful to each and everyone who made it a success! You will get a chance to meet the models on the new website! They are the best!

Contest Winner/Details on new contest!

Well fans/friends/loved-ones, the moment many, if not all of you have been waiting for. I stayed up last night to figure out the winner of “Classy Encounter” thinking it would be a easy task, only to find out that I would be cross-eyed and dreaming of numbers after discovering the lucky winner! It took me a hour to figure out just this one winner. Whew! Glad THIS contest is over.. ;) So…. The winner of the Djewells Signature “Classy Encounter” is….

Now, for all you ladies who are wondering how I came up with this number. Lets just say it was a lot of counting and re-counting. I have 517 entries and I entered that number in random.org and the number 251 got picked. So then after counting 517 comments I got to go back and count 251 comments also! Yay! But of course I enjoyed every moment of it!

I know how I feel when I work hard to win something and end up not getting the prize. So in honor of all you wonderful ladies who feel that way I decided to give away one of my most popular designs. “Grand Entrance” skirt. Formally known as “Silent Night” in the Holiday Collection ‘10. You will see a picture of the skirt below. Since I sold out of all that I have in this material the winner will get the same skirt in a gorgeous Plum/Purple color. Which is ultimately more “springy.” This contest will begin March 4th, and will end March 10th at 10 p.m EST.

So the “Official Rules” of this contest are listed below because I know many were confused on how the process worked including myself! [My first time ever conducting a giveaway like that]

1.I will post ONE PICTURE each day of the contest. You can share THAT picture, then come back telling me you “Shared” it. You may comment ONCE on that picture.

2. You can comment once a day, one time a picture.

Why hello there new and old fans! This is my first blog post EVER in the history of my life, so please bear with me as I try to sound “cool.” J I thought it would be neat to start something of my own where I can connect with fans with out having to be all “Professional.” So here it goes. I am going to try and be a faithful writer, meaning if I have something to write about I will! I’m so excited about connecting with all the new fans from the giveaway! [ends this Wednesday, so keep sharing!] Which by the way I figured I would go ahead and share since it’s the perfect time, I’m going to be giving away a Grand Entrance skirt this weekend sometime, So get ready for that!

I’m gearing up for a HUGE Spring Collection release. I cant even describe how cute its going to be! SB Photography take care of all the pictures. Ill also have some new faces in those! Thanks to some of my wonderful friends! I have many colors coming in the spring collection, It is defiantly the one that can appeal to all tastes‘. I also have been working with my seamstress on finding the perfect pattern that she could be able to make the signature DJewells “straight dress" look. We were successful! We worked and played with several different ideas and I think that we found the perfect pattern! So hopefully in the Spring Collection I will have more of a variety in sizes. However, there will still be a few that are limited quanites for the ones who want a literal “One of a Kind” dress. J I will also be featuring a lot of “Customizing your own dress” Meaning I will show you pictures of the design, but in reality you can pick the colors, details, etc!

Another big thing that has happened recently is our local women’s publication, “Her Magazine” is wanting to feature my business and a article about the history and such! So exciting! So you will see more info about that in the near future!

I am currently working with 5 brides on their custom bridesmaid dresses. I cannot wait to share pictures of the outcome with you! One wedding the colors were, Champagne and Rose. Ah! Picture that. My two favorite colors made out of a poly shantung material into one Amazing design! J
